The deadline for voter registration for the June 3, 2008, statewide primary is Monday, May 19. If you have not registered to vote, or if you have moved or need to update any other information with the Registrar-Recorder, all you need to do is fill out a new voter registration form (available at city halls, post offices, and many other locations), and mail it. The form must be postmarked no later than Monday, May 19. If you cannot find a registration form, you can download and print one from this site: www.sos.ca.gov/elections/elections_vr.htm On the June 3 ballot are several matters of high importance, including: -- Proposition 98 -- which, if passed, would eliminate rent control in California -- Nominations for Congress, State Senate, and State Assembly -- Election of judges to the Los Angeles Superior Court |
